Client Prompt:
The general homecoming logo has been used for many years and needs a refresh. The Alumni Office along with AIL wants something that feels new/fresh but also has a collegiate/nostalgic feel to it. We would want two logos, one that we can change the year on every year and one without a year. Included are examples of what they are looking for.
Would need to be done in color, black, and potentially white so it can go on multiple things including letters sent out, designs, and shirts.
I wanted this logo to have a collegiate, nostalgic feel to it while simultaneously encapsulating what it is like being a student at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. In this logo you will see many components that contribute to the Eau Claire vibe.
Components:
The arch at the top of the logo is an iconic spot on UWEC campus where many incoming freshman come and take photos during their tours
The font has an old school jersey look to it
The badge shape of the logo and stars show achievement
The rising sun behind the banner symbolizes Eau Claire being Wisconsin’s most beautiful campus. The sunsets in particular are a popular thing to watch on the campus foot bridge.
Gold and Blue colors are UWEC school colors.
